Tiger Maple Needles

I saw this curly maple board at my favorite speciality lumberyard in Lunenburg in May while picking up my AYC (which is becoming a scarce material).

These are 7.5 inches and my weighting is pushed in from the tail ~2 inches to get that sweet sit in the saline.

I made 5 of these and have plenty more blanks for modification.
2 with flat sided noses and the others with round. The bellies are painted pure white.

Love the way the wood glimmers in light.
