Newsflash: Van Stall Pliers don't float!

I use them on the boat and yesterday we were onto a sick bite of mostly undersized fluke. Every fluke was between 16 and 18 inches (NY we need 21 inches). Me and a buddy probably released 70-80 fluke. I was using the Van Stall pliers to pull hooks from the toothy little &^$%^&&*! without bringing them into the boat.
Yup. I dropped them. Water was only 9 feet deep but the current was quick or I would have gone in after them.
So other than the lanyard which really doesn't work on the boat what can you put on the new pliers to make them float???

We all live for 7 seconds of screaming drag...
