ISO XSRA 1322 Layout for Spining

I am building an Arra 1322 and have an Emblem Pro 5500 ready to go on it.

Do any of you fine gentlemen have a guide layout for this very popular rod and reel combination that you are willing to share.

thanks

Here you go Patrick: http://www.striped-bass.com/Stripert...ad.php?t=57438

If you want pm me your email address and I can shoot over the document I wrote on the build with pictures/ diagrams etc I'm no expert etc but it came out pretty sweet, casts like a mf'er and I've had fish to high 30's low 40 lbs on it and its handled them just fine

Domination takes full concentration..

Nice link, Vic--now can you or Saltheart dumb it down for those of us who aren't fluent in calculus?

Mike T built himself an 11' SSU MH using the Fuji concept lowriders. He uses it with an Emblem Pro 5500. The action of the Arra isn't that much different. He can probably give you the guide spacing that he used. He probably also built a few 1322s with traditional BSVLG guides.

Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools, because they have to say something.

Try this on for size..

BMNAG guides and measure back from the rod tip in the following order:

# 8 guide 6" from tip

# 8 guide 12.5" from tip

# 8 guide 19.5" from tip

# 8 guide 27" from tip

# 10 guide 35" from tip

# 16 guide 44" from tip

# 25 guide 55" from tip

# 40 guide 70" from tip

If you're using braid, this setup works very well. I've done at least a dozen rods with this setup. Its a slightly modified NGC setup. You could use smaller than a #40 guide for the first one as I've put a 30 in there with good results.

I forgot to mention this guide size setup was suggested to me by Numbskull. If the rod comes out all %$%$%$%$ed up, please don't blame me...

It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole
Where all the fish is blind
