Starcraft renovations?

Once it gets a lil colder out(I'm in RI,there's still some good fishing ahead),I'll pull the seats,and floor.The floor,I'll replace,as it's a shoddy job,using osb.My plan is to put pink styro insulation under the new floor,leaving room for bilge water to escape.
Not having done this before,do you paint the plywood on all sides,or what,to seal it?I'm thinking of carpetting it,which will hold moisture,so I know I've gotta seal it pretty well.What should I use?
After the floors done,my tentative plan is to build new seats.I'd like to lose the second seat,for more room,and put storage boxes/benches along the gunnels from the rear seat,to the(currently)third.I figure the benches will add some stability,since removing the second seat will cost me some.
The seats I DO build,will be hinge topped for storage,and my plan is to frame them(attached)to the new floor,as the current seats flex a little in the middle in bumpy water,and the steel float boxes actually bounce up and down,actually touching the hull.I'm hoping that hard framing to the floor will alleviate this.
I figure I should paint the inside of the hull before installing the new floor,epoxy paint has been suggested,but I'll take any other suggestions as well.Same with the exterior.
I'm open to any and all advice/suggestions. Thanks in advance,guys,Bobby.

You can see the bottom corners of the float boxes and their proximity to the hull in the pic.Add a 200+ pound fisherman,and they hit the hull.Gotta go.

good luck with the boat bobby! once you gut it you'll have a blank canvass , i'd go with 2 seats and a casting plaform up front. the foam flotation is a good idea imo. eff the carpet- does nothing but retain water and is beotch to clean- i took yards out of my skiff .

Animal if you are talking about the pink fanfold they use under siding, I have 2 bundles of 1/4" you can have you just got to pick it up. Want to get it out of my garage..

Not sure why you are putting ridgid insulation under floor. What are you looking to do that for?
no carpet as like U said it holds moisture. Maybe build a platform from bow tip over the front seat. I luv to stand up on seats so that would help a lot. I may do that to mine some day, been saying that for 20 years. It would be great if you could lose both middle seats but like I said before it may be a structural thing. I have no middle seats, mine is a 14'er though, and it is great to be able to move front and back, esp. if you got an Albie on the line. PIA jumping over seats. I like it open. I made floor in 2 parts so i can take back part out easy. Tons of crap goes under floor, like eels, and they don't come out so you need to access them. I also ended floor just under back bench so I can slid it out easy to get dead rotting eels out. There is no floor behind rear bench. Really no need. Just put gas can on bare alum. Plus that is where water will pool so it tends to rot out the floor back there on the end grain. Let me know how you make out on the painting as I really need to paint my boat inside and out someday. Been thinking of just paying someone, auto body place, to do it. I don't really have anywhere to do it during the winter. It needs it bad. Looks like crap now. Good luck. Thanks guys.I found some killer ideas on another site,that have my mind going in different directions,but after my failure to launch this afternoon,I think a new,used motor should be first priority.
