Winter Moths

Not sure anyone else is noticing them but they are pretty heavy at my house starting a couple days ago as soon as it gets dark around any lights. PIA defoliating buggers.

All over the place here too. Once we get that first frost (oops snow) time for those flying buggers to reappear. I've got mercury vapor lights on the garage and they must think they are Red Lights.

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

Unfortunately, they don't have any natural predators to take care of them. They have a very effective breeding method. They come out when it's cold, so there are no bats or spiders or other bug eating bugs, and they come out at night, so there are no birds to watch out for.

Short of vaccuming them yourselves, there really is no way to get rid of them unless you spray early in the spring.
