Free pine for life!!!

This big fella is sitting on my property as we speak. Looks like a lightning strike to me...anyone have a lathe big enough to handle a 100' pine leader?

It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole
Where all the fish is blind

Nice pics. I have some tree work to be done this winter.... Wondering what that ran you for $$$. PM me if you want. I need a little more frost in the ground before I get the crews in with their trucks. Definitely not lightning, as the core was rotted from the base up. Pines are notorious for being weak trees.

The work is being done as part of a larger job at my place of work, so not exactly sure what the itemized price for one tree would be. Best bet is to get a few different opinions as prices can vary. Last year I bid out work and got prices of 10K on the low end and and almost 70K on the high end for the same scope of work.

One large tree would have to be 400-700 plus if its in a tight spot and needs a crane to lift it out. Also figure in stump grinding and debris removal if you can't dispose of the stuff on your property and the stump has to be removed. More than one tree would give you a scale advantage in price and bring the unit cost per tree down. A real big tree in a tight spot could run well over 1K.
