RI show booth with many mombo minnows
I went to the show in Prov today. I saw a ton of stuff. I was particulary taken with a store who had a variety of gags 5" mombo minnows for sale in colors I have never seen. I should have got some but I ran out of money at the habs booth. Does any one out there remember the name of the store that had the mombos or know of an online store where I could get the mombos in the different colors. Thanks Charlie

barlows tackle, I think they are a buck apiece without hooks if you buy a hundred.

I went through that last year. I'm pretty sure that the Gag's display booth was just that, but you could buy all the different mambos from another booth ( I may be mistaken, but a card I had in my bag was from Franks B & T in Ct 860-295-9659 - worth a shot, no?). I think the guy running the Gag's booth is his nephew or something like that, had a long talk with him last show (I think Al sold the old company) and he just displays the product, but he directed me to the other booth that would happily sell and could get his whole line. I was in at 12 Friday and made a beeline for that booth, cleaned out the colors I wanted and missed out on last year (ask Fearless Leader - I ran past him saying I was scouting the show). If that doesn't work/if I am wrong, call Gag's maybe?
What color(s) were you looking for??

You guys have it right...Both Al Gags in the Al Gags Cusom Lures booth and Frank (Al's cousin) in the Gag's Grabbers booth only display. The Mambos are sold through Frank's B&T in Ct. Nice guy and his wife is sweetheart also. All the odd colors.

What Striperman says is true one of the tackle distributors (I think it is stamina) has the mambos real cheap, but they have limited colors. Might be worth a look though -

Stamina has clear ones too - got some last year. Makes it easier to load when you can see the cavities, then a little paint....
Another thing I like about the Stamina ones is that they come without rings or hooks. The Gag's ones are the crappiest ones you can buy - I bent a few rings way out of shape before I smartened up. Why pay for the hooks if you are just gonna toss them?
