CT license rollback....
Well it seems CT license's have rolled back just in time for opening day of trout season. Hmm i wonder why that is, I guess a quick look at the books revealed to the powers that be that the numbers are drasctically down from the year before. In celebration of this I still wont be fishing any freshwater in CT, and to those diehards out there that purchased there license for ice fishing and so on, guess what you don't get any money back...

I feel for the guys who bought licenses in Jan. So they could ice fish. They got screwed.
CT is no friend to sportsmen.

I usually get a freshwater Ct license but not this year even with the rollback. What are they thinking? Ct isn't Montana so why bother to pay 55 to catch 8" trout? The state should somehow tax the casinos for the money they need. Why is it that the sportsman always gets to pay while other get off the hook? FishHawk

because state politicians know that sportsmen are hardworking, law-abiding citizens... they know that most will be pissed off and complain, but just end up buying the damn thing anyway... so the decide to try to balance their books on the group most likely to fork over the money... its BS. I dont know how a single DEP officer can check for a license with a straight face... and I'm tired of the whole "its the state, us not us" excuse they give when you talk to them... have they lost ALL say? If thats the case, they just watched what little control they had left of their department get trampled by liberal social policy... The state is just testing the depth of your wallets, and the size of your balls with this one...
