I hear the weather is supposed to be nice this weekend... and it looks like there is still lots of ice on the lakes / ponds. Can anyone tell me when ice fishing season closes here in RI? Thanks!

Thanks Mike! This is my 1st year ice fishing in a long time. I grew up in Maine and up there the season used to close at the end of February. Should be a good weekend for it if... anyone else going to be out on the ice?

ice will not hold beacuse the ice is rotting after the end of febuary all the sand and crap in lakes and ponds destroys the ice eating away at it makin it very unsafe

It was a good morning on the ice.... perfect weather.... and three 5 pound lgmouths. May have to go again tomorrow!
