new boat

got a new ride on Thursday, 19' Eastern Marine Center Console, it's a little underpowered with the 70hp tha'ts on it now so over the winter it's going to get a 90 that I have...took my fatherinlaw(it's actually his boat) out last night and he caught his first fish ever(57 and never been fishing before)... he had a blast and I think he might be hooked now. here's the only pitcure I have right now. get some more soon

Nice ride. I hope his age is 57 and that is not the length/pounds of fish he caught 1st time out. He'd surely be hooked on striped bass if the latter!

Ryan, Nice ride. Niko said it looks like a Yuppie boat (not sure what that means). If you want to fish next weekend, we can take mine out. Let me know.

Thumbs up

I'm jealous, love those hulls.

A Dweeb is a boring studious or socially inept person
A Yuppie (short for "young urban professional" or "young upwardly-mobile professional") is a term that refers to a member of the upper middle class in their twenties or thirties. It first came into use in the early-1980s and largely faded from American popular culture in the late-1980s, due to the 1987 stock market crash and the early 1990s recession. Yuppism... is not definable entirely by income or class. Rather, it is a late-twentieth-century cultural phenomenon of self-absorbed young professionals, earning good pay, enjoying the cultural attractions of sophisticated urban life and thought, and generally out of touch with, indeed antithetical to, most of the challenges and concerns of a far less well-off and more parochial Middle America. For the yuppie male, a well-paying job in law, finance, academia, or consulting in a cultural hub, hip fashion, cool appearance, studied poise, elite education, proper recreation and fitness, and general proximity to liberal-thinking elites, especially of the more rarefied sort in the arts, are the mark of a real man.

Thank God that I don't have one over 30' or one with a a wine chiller.............

I'll bring the cheese and crackers...I hope the boat doesn't get bloody if you get a tuna. might ruin the combing pads.

hints that you may be fishing w/ a yuppie - clean white grunds, the boat has radar but he doesn't know how to use it, the boats way to clean at the end of the day, boat shoes instead of boots, the boat rocks way to much on the drift

my 1st wife didn't like me fishing so much

I'm pretty sure that ridiculous hats with flaps on the back, white gloves and long pants on 95 degree days would qualify one also. I'm pretty sure I saw those shoes in red one day in Piscators from room...he wouldn't admit they were his at the time though. must have been planning on buying a yuppie boat and didn't want anyone to know
