Southern Maine report.

Just got back (to Vermont) after 2 weeks in s. Maine. Fished every day. Fly, sand worms, live line, plugs. Did it all. Didn't catch a ton but caught almost every day. No pics because no cows. Here's a weird thing...between my son and I we caught around 35 stripers in 2 weeks.
EVERY ONE was between 24 and 30 inches. No dinks, which I normally get a load of on the fly rod and sand worms. No big ones, which is not that unusual for me. Where are the little guys?
Highlights included hooking and landing several nice ones on my 5 wt. fly rod. Also live lining pollack and macks and having some fat fish nail them. Weghed one 28" fish on a boga grip....12 lbs! I would have thought maybe 8 or 9. Also some hot action one late evening on plugs off the rocks. In general a frigg'n' blast. Tons of sand eels, lots of small macks. Wish I lived there all summer. By the way, kept 3 fish for dinners.
