Yep Jess, it is quieter than it should be up here on this other cape but there are fish to be had despite the lack of significant bait present. Been a first light bite in a certain backside locale with few.... but large being obtained on top.
My theory, because I have no other choice but to theorize, is that it will happen in a big way "any day now", and hopefully that will not be the day I decide to stay in bed.....

Good thread idea!
Speaking for myself, when I don't find fish it is usually because....
I talked myself out of going.
I took the easy choice of chasing reports rather than figuring it out for myself.
I made the wrong choice of ignoring reports and trying to be too clever.
I under-estimated the weather and fished a spot that was unfishable.
I over-estimated the weather and passed on the spot I should have fished.
I put too much emphasis on the past rather than the present.
I forgot the past and got hung up in the present.
I was too stubborn on how I fished a spot.
I was too lazy on how I fished a spot.
I took someone fishing I REALLY wanted to catch fish.
I followed Sauerkraut's advice and went where he wanted to go.

Your forgot a couple.
1) you actually remembered to bring the camera.
2) someone asks you to actually bring home a fish...
