That could be a big mistake. Randy requires double coverage which opens the field to allow Brady the option to complete to the likes of Welker, Faulk, Woodhead (who I'm liking so far ), etc.
Just saying. This move right now could bite them in the ass. Especially after this past weeks team building confidence boost.

It sucks. Big time! but if his hearts not in it here we don't want him. He's obviously got the personality to create problems in the locker room and completely shut down on the field. Wish we could get more than a 3rd round draft pick out of it.

Like Sydney Rice. I'd wait until his hip is ready to go....

You've got that right! Wes is now the #1, you double him who do you have left down field? Hernandez? Tate? ouch....
I agree with Luds we should have got a player in return possibly on the defensive side of the ball.
But this is what BB does and often turns out to be fine. IN BILL WE TRUST!!!

I guess it's gotten to the point where his distraction is not worth it. Brady did fine with a bunch of number 2 receivers in the past, they'll be fine now. They got pretty far with Reche Caldwell remember???
Tate will progress, and we know he can run
it's gonna be difficult to put 2 guys on Welker when one can't even do it
thanks for your time here Randy, it was entertaining, now we have a superbowl to win
see you on Halloween with Brett

no good. i think this is a clear statement from bill b that this is a rebuilding year. welker will not be nearly as productive and i think Pats will have trouble making the playoffs. woody looked awefully tired monday. not sure if he will be able to keep it up week after week. not sure about taint being a deep ball threat. we'll see. it's cool to see some unknowns come out on the field and produce.

Tate will pick up some of the slack if he stays healthy. He's fast and has good hands. If Welker is doubled, Tate will have single coverage and that's a huge advantage downfield with his speed. The Pats also have a guy named Price who's supposed to be a burner. He hasn't been active in the first 4 games, so who knows what his role will be. I think they'll be ok with Brady throwing to Welker, Tate, Edelman, Hernandez, Gronkowski and Woodhead. There will still be plenty of targets, although it will be a little tougher without Moss.

dumb sob...sulking because he's not signed beyond this year, so you'd think that he'd know that he's playing this season for his next contract...gee why would he not bust hump with brady throwing to him and have a great year million dollar talent with a .50 head...

There are reports he had a blowout at Gillete with Bellicheck yesterday, and an altercation on the flight home from Miami. On top of that he supposedly berated the QB coach.

Sounds like this was in the works for a while.
Locker room issues
Lack of productivity, especially catching the long ball.
I just need to know who's pulling the long ball slack.
I'm guessing Hernandez.

Too bad he couldn't finish the season out. That makes him 100% for leaving every club on bad terms.
The guy is a great pass receiver. No need to compare him to Rice or anyone else. fact is he's a great pass receiver.
Its too bad how the natural physical talent is often not paired up with any mental talent at all. All he had to do was shut up and play ball for 6.4 million. I could do that!
You can't say the Pats have no wide receiver now. We didn't lose the position , we will just shuffle someone or two other guys around. So what we lost was the marginal difference between Moss and the guys who move in. maybe some guys will get 1 on 1 instead of the massive coverage Moss got. May actually lead to more completions at that position than Moss would have gotten. You never know until you can look at it in hindsite.
Goodbye and good luck Randy , in 2007 you were a big part of the best football team ever assembled.
