there's nothing written in stone
saying the WINTER will be LONG

it might be.... and it might not.... only time will tell
we've had short ones in the past....

but your probably right BF.....
it's only that global warming has to affect the weather
and hopefully shorten the winter season a bit

Wood pile must be getting small...ready for more wood?

I haven't yet fired up the home fire but with all my wood won't be long, maybe today during a Pats game.

Love the smell when people crank up their stoves in the fall.

Shall I bottle some and send it your way?

Going to try and use the fireplace a lot more this year. Just bought a maul and have some wood to split, it should be a good workout. What do they say wood heats you three times splitting, stacking and burning (do I have that right?). Did a small fire pit in the yard this fall and the family really liked it - there is just something about smelling and staring into a good fire.

May the holes in your net be no larger than the fish in it - Irish Blessing
