So was Santa nice to everyone?
I got a really nice pair of professional grade pruning shears and a sebile stick in the herring pattern (floating though...). Best thing though was my 2.5 year old. It was his first Christmas where he kind of got the present thing. He loved what we got him and really had a couple great days with family. Also its was nice to see him actually open a present and play with it before going to the next, at times he hardly cared at all that there were a few more. His cousins (6 and 9) are basically at the lets just rip into everything stage and really didn't care about much. I am sure he'll be there at some point so it was nice to see him this year. Great time with good food drink and conversation not to mention made it up back before the storm had dropped a half an inch.

Does your incessant whining make you feel better? How about you just shut the hell up and suck it up? It's a fishing forum , so please just stop.

This was the first Christmas where the "missing family" really hit home. Sure I went to my two aunts and saw my cousins but you realize your Holidays are really built around your immediate family. At least there are still enough family around for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day feasts even if they are not parents and siblings!
Anyway , I decided to treat myself to a few "Unbelieveable Bargains" this year. The new stove keeps my butt warm while doing the computer thing. My new DVR/VCR combo really makes DVD movies Pop and I also bought some gift certificates to some good restaurants that were on sale for 50 percent of face value. Hey , its not a new boat but its something.

Wow, I wouldn't have pegged you as the gamer type.
I got a Garmin handheld submersible GPS/VHF radio for the yak and a certificate for a beer dinner at Jimmy's Pub from the wifey. She did good this year.
The best thing about Christmas for me was waching my son's face after every single present he opened. At one point, he stopped and looked up at the ceiling while holding his arms out and said "Thank you so much Santa, I love everything!". It was nice to see him being really grateful and not just ripping boxes open and moving on to the next present.

Are the combat games on Wii really graphic? J loves shooting and blowing stuff up. I bought him the Wii last year for his B-Day but didn't give it to him because he was already getting too much stuff. We (Santa) gave it to him for Christmas and he's having a blast with it. Mom and dad are having fun with it, too.

I HIGHLY reccomend Wii lego star wars the complete saga. Its violent in a non-violent sort of way. You get to blow stuff up, battle with light sabers - but its lego characters. So its not bloody. There is a lot of humor in it. Its a lot of problem solving passing from level to level so it has some educational components. Each area has different missions and you need to figure them out. It follows the basically story lines of the movies. I love it and so do my kids. Hours and hours of playing time. It was a big hit a few years ago and now its very cheap. I think I paid less than $20 bucks for it.
Wii lego Harry Potter is the same thing, awesome game for kids and adults.
The combat games (call of duty) are very violent and has the F word every few minutes. It may be suitable for the children of DD coffee drinkers but not most evolved people......
