I had a minor fender bender in a parking lot that cost $1600 to repair and now I find out that I will now be paying a $375-$420 surcharge for the next five years (i don't remember the cost per point it's either $125 or $130). I haven't even had a speeding ticket in 20+ years, never mind an accident, perfect record. Now I am going to pay more than the actual damage done...BS
And being a former autobody repair person I know there wasn't $1600 in damages.
After the surcharge is paid it will cost me a minimum of $1875 for a $1600 repair on top of my premium.
