With the exception of THU/FRI, those temps seem about right. As long as they stay nearer the high. But in other bad news, they haven't even started getting keepers on LI yet... so I've heard at least.

We shall see...

Even just seasonal normal temps will be fine. we need to hope for no more snow with the cold runoff. IMO that's what's keeping the temps down.

Oh, they're getting keepers on LI. But only Hudson fish entering some shallow, mud-bottomed bays and harbors that warm quickly.

If you fish estuaries and inlets, try fishing at the end of the ebb and beginning of the incoming. That's when the water should be warmest. I've caught keepers earlier than this in the year in local inlets---but when you feel the water temp drop a few degrees thru your wader legs, when the colder ocean water infuses near the end of the incoming, it's like they throw an off switch.

Spring fishing is sooooo dependent on water temp and wind direction, IMO. I've seen bites shut down repeatedly in my area when there's a sudden wind shift to the east. Even into late May.
