I launched the boat in 8in of water few days ago..., barely got the trailer wet while the truck was sinking in the muck,, all 4 wheels, no ramp, hidden launch....finally sat my azzs down and started paddling for deeper water.....kept hittin em' with the paddle(1).....was too zoned in on the fish, no crabs were sacrificed that day....
Don't suck too hard while eatting eme Mike...

Crest Daddy has it right!!!.... SLIPPER SHELLS (right-fully named too, as they do resemble a "slipper".....although Clammer had both 'slang' terms spot on as well!!!...."deckers" and "Lapas" (pronounced "Lopish")
Crest Daddy, they're not only edible, but ....."poor man's" - Escargot is what I should have said! They're also delicious RAW!!! Pluck em out of the shell, rinse in the surf....and slurp it in.
Clammer, my father's been complaining about the $$$ of sandworms lately....he's been catching scup on slippers and winkles...
Free Bait? ... gotta luv us green-horns???
