Can't access from home via NetZero
Can't get any other service other than satellite & I'd rather waste my money on the boat & spin gear .
Was the site down this AM or does my service just suck?

Roop,
I think it your service. Someday pembroke will get high speed access and a decent cable company.
off subject,
Have you (or anyone here) ever run your boat in Oldham pond, I wanted to run mine there just to get it in the water, but I hear there are some unmarked high points and I can't find anything charted for the pond. I also don't know how the ramp is.

Roop - nothing that I am aware of. Do you know how to do a traceroute?

fishsmith - a neighbor of mine did & hit a nice rock - I draw @ 2' so I'm staying in the salt!
JohnR - traceroute? no, I'll bring my laptop home & try that first - the home computer is full of pictures of barbies & puppies & kiddy games (I have 2 little girls - those pictures aren't mine, that I have to keep cleaning out - may be time for a new unit.
Have a great weekend - hope to splash the boat the first time sunday!

On an mvs system a traceroute is 'tracerte <ipaddress>'
I did that yesterday for the first time so I'm repeating it here for my dwindling memory's sake.
Roop, was your neighbors engine a merc and does he work for BFI?

Here's the syntax for that command.
C:\>tracert www.striped-bass.com
This will let you know the last IP address you could reach before you hit a wall. If you can't get there, you will get a message that the "Request timed out".

I was having trouble too. Then I re-entered it as a favorite place and all is well now.
