Angry HELP!!!

So I'm fairly new to the area and saltwater fishing. Last year was my first and I was hooked. I live on the north shore and was catching fish consistently all season. Then this year rolled around. I've put in more time this year than last with no fish to speak of. Hours and hours of fishing and literally NO bites. None of the spots that produced for me last year have given up anything but eels. I'm not a saltwater expert but last year I had a great time and caught plenty of fish. I can deal with not being in the fish every time out but I really haven't even gotten a bite this year and I have put the time in. I just dont know what's wrong. I've fished with bait and plugs on the bottom and the top from the beach and in the river. Any ideas? HELP!!!!

Endeavor to persevere.

If you got them that way last year , you should get some his year. My biggest question would be are you fishing the same times relative to tides , dawn and dusk as last year?

change it up and try some new techniques. some of places ive been fishing havent produced in the same way as last year. finding new spots and trying new techniques is fun even when the skunk gets you. doing the same thing with no results will drive you insane.
