one night when i was about 19 or 20, i got jumped by 3 guys after the bars got out in Newport. Long story short, i happened to have my car keys in my hand when they jumped out of the car and went after me.. 5 minutes later there was one man standing and it wasnt any of them. Id be surprised if some of them were not scared for the rest of their lives.

When my daughter was in college, I taught her to carry her keys in a fist with the longest one sticking out between her middle and ring finger. I told her if anyone comes after her, punch them right in the sternum. They'll back off or go down. I then replaced it with a six inch long hard wood dowel attached to a lanyard and told her to do the same thing. Push it into the sternum, neck, temple as hard as you can.

The future ain't what it used to be. --Yogi Berra

Under the cheek bone with a key or dowel will get your attention.

He that would make his own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty, he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself.

Got to love those "pressure points"!

Let's see, Sternum, base of the jaw, groin, side of the knee....all will bring down the bravest punk when hit with enough determination/force!!!

One of my favorites that I tell my neices is the back of the hand.
Anybody grabs you and you want to get away, make a fist with your middle finger protruding (as if you were going to rap on someone's door) and rap the back of the hand as hard as you can! Odds are you will break his hand, redenering it completely useless!
Then you either escape, or attack another "pressure point" until you can escape.

The biggest problem most victims encounter is the lack of desire to inflict harm even though the attacker intends to dowho-knows-what or worse!
