John, in 1994 my old partner RJ and I fish a snowstorm in December. I have some pictures of us on a snow covered Charlestown breachway. I'll see if I can find them

No boat, back in the suds.

Didn't fish Saturday night but Friday night/Saturday morning had a decent local bite. Things recovered quickly on Sunday (late morning) as there was a large school of fish working off of the Newport coast just out of casting range.

I lasted for half a dozen casts Saturday afternoon from Devereaux. Gulls and cormorants working bait, but no takers... Wind made it a lot colder and put huge bow in the line while casting. Should have gone out with doc in the morning, I guess....

I fished it hard, three popular spots in South County RI. There was a 15 minute window during which I caught some dinks, but other than that not a bump. The same area fished well (for smalls, anyway) the night before and the night after. But that night there was almost nothing.

Agro and I fished a South Shore Mass location from 1-5 Saturday. I stood in the wash throwing a 3oz kastmaster which was the only thing that would really cut through the 50mph gusts.

Fishing in nasty weather always puts a smile on my face, I feel alive standing in the big surf in full gear throwing cast after cast. Despite the cold, wet, windy conditions I keep telling myself one of these casts is going to be the fish of a life time and that keeps me coming back every time.

Fished the canal saturday once the tide turned west ~noon. About 20 mins later it started raining and just got worse. Fished for 2.5 hrs at 4 different spots. Didn't even have a tap and only saw one other person/fisherman.

Did get out monday on the boat and hit the motherload of blues over at Gay Head MV. Had them to ourselves for 2+ hrs, almost on every cast/drop. Left them still biting.....

Friday night we had one fish each but they were the biggest fish of the year,,but that was it
Saturday I ventured in the hail...that was the most painful experience I ever had to endure while fishing...I literally had to walk assbackwards to my truck because it stung too much
I caught nothing

Fished the ditch Saturday Am 5:30 to 7:30. One 26" bass on one of my dad's metal lipped swimmers (a copy of Salty's). Sorry, but he is 90 and that is what he does after he did one from your kit. It was a post Plugfest lure thus had black top with gold micro glitter and white "scales"over black for sides and belly. Both techniques he learned after chatting up a few of you great plugbuilders at Plugfest 2011. I hit just one fish. Warmer at 6AM than 7:30 as no wind. saw 1 other fish caught.
Looks like weather good this weekend and will try again Friday and Saturday and hope a few are still around.

Bill
