I did last Saturday. Really, really tough this time because of our potential plans to move. May be the last I ever set foot in her.

Yep...sux. Winterized yesterday. Pulled batteries and covered her up today. Jack and block the trailer is all that's left for putting her up for the season.

If and when you move, just drop the boat at my house. I'll keep an eye on her in case you get homesick and decide to move back.

I went togging over the weekend and pushed it just to get in one more day....fishing was great but it was 4-7 with the occasional crest-er in a steady 25mph, after a day of that, On the way back I looked at the forecast and it was 20-30 for the rest of the week. Made a decision to call it quits. The next day they change the forecast for wed to ....5-10 and 2' seas. You just can't win.
I have a feeling this warm fall we have be having is going to end abruptly anyway and get cold fast so I better prep this now. The fat lady is singing.

Cover went on mine last night. Did the winterizing and jacking up on blocks Saturday.

Yes it is but in reality with small boats you can realy only get out a handful of days with the wind and half those days you have to work.

Your boat Sandman is a bit bigger than most on here and can take more of a beating but when it is cold and taking a beating I'd rather be watchin football!

The season is way to short up here.

A couple friends of mine have packed it up (leave early Nov) and have been already texting me photos of fish caught in 81 deg water. Nice way to spend the winter.

Covers on...powered down, winterized, all the crap is off the boat for another winter.

See you guys in the spring.

I have got to get a waterfront shack in the Keys, the off season is too long here. I use to ski all winter and loved it as much as fishing but once I hit early 50's the body prefers fishing in warm weather than the steep and deep. I probably will make a few ski trips this winter but it is time to become a snowbird I think.

Let me know where in the Keys and I'll come down and visit.
