Ya Karl, what I'm wishin for doesn't exist.
A true Leader that would unselfishly serve, revere the constitution,
limit government size and regulations, pay down the debt, keep all
the good our country represents, and bring back honor and integrity
to the Office of President of the United States.
I don't see anybody on the horizon.

Karl I was thinking, a candidate with the character of Tony Dungee or Jim Arness
with the tenacity of Chris Christie and the brains of Charles Krauthamer would
get my vote.
Of course Jim has passed, but clone on clone on.

remember that "a true leader" is only discovered to be that after having led...you don't see these things coming beforehand very often, you bank on some potential and then they are judged based on how they handle the responsibility and challenges..it is afterward that we determine "true leader" status and even that may vary in distinction depending on the observer....big changes don't occur with one election...but you can begin to set things back on the path laid out by the Constitution regardless of how many insist that we just need to live with the damage that has already been done...sadly, some would be very happy to toss the founding principles and institute their own progressive version....
fortunately there are a minority in this country that are pressing for the things that you listed...otherwise we'd be throwing the Constitution overboard and set sail straight for Euro-Socialism ...the current occupant has expressed his views on the inherent faults and shortcomings be believes the Constitution has and has repeatedly noted his unhappiness at being bound by the Constitution when it comes to getting the things he wants done and the obstacle that the other branches of government provide for him, such a nuisance

I agree Scott, but imho the attributes I listed are either there or not
by the qualifying age of 35.
I like what I'm starting to see in Santorum lately. He's been on the back burner
compared to the others but I saw some spunk in him last night after his victories
in Missouri and Minnesota. Maybe a late bloomer?
