X Flock sizing
Would any of you happen to know what size x flock to use over the pre existing cork wrap on a GLB 1081? I understand it will shrink any where between 30% and 50% I'll probably be ordering from Mudhole if this helps any.
Thanks, Matt

Which 1081, the M or L? I used 30mm over double wrapped cork tape foregrip on a 1081l recently and it was fine, same size over single wrapped cork tape on the butt and it was a tad loose. Could have used a touch of epoxy to keep it in place or one size smaller flock. There is a guy on eBay that sells it pretty cheap, cardking70.

Measure the diameter of the fattest part of the butt and buy the smallest size shrink wrap that will definitely go over it.

The butt diameter on the blank is .760 so if I ordered the X flock size 0.787 would that work with the existing cork tape or would it be to tight?

25mm would work fine. you could try 20mm if you can find it.
btw, glb1081mh and gsb1081m are the same blank.

Just remember that the shrink wrap we use is in most mechanical an constuction supply places like Grainger an so on. So look at those places too. We are only a very tiny part of that market that has a huge mark up.Shrink wrap is shrink wrap. the stuff I put on cod rods 25 yrs ago came from an electrical supply house.Ron
