My nephew is looking for a Penn 750 or 850. Anyone got one used, in decent shape, reasonably priced?

Paul---I have a mint 8500 (USA made) for sale in the SOL classifieds. I was asking $100 for it. If no one bites on it by the time I get back to this thread, and you're interested, I'll take the post down over there.

I also have a well used original 750 that looks used, but it's always been maintained.

I don't think he will be able to swing $100 but Mike, how much for the 750?

Just spoke with Chris and he can afford $90 for the 8500. He's got a new baby so money is tight. Still interested in a price on a price on the 750.

Tell ya what---I'll do $75 for the 8500 for the new dad. It's basically a new reel. I used it a few times, but there isn't a speck of corrosion on it or a chip in the finish that I can see. The 750 is pretty beat up, cosmetically. I even have the box for the 8500.

I'd do $60 for the 750.

I closed the SOL thread so there's no need to rush.

OK, I just PM'd tysdad to see when we can meet. I might even have a spare spool for the 750, still. Not 100% sure, but I once had one for both reels. Some stuff got lost in the shuffle when we moved from LI to the Cape. Obviously, they won't do me much good now, if I still have them.

Nope. The wife and I are heading down to LI for the Bruins' game. I married one of the world's biggest Zdeno Chara fans.
When you can get tickets for $22 a piece, you take the road trip.
