worm hatch + pogies

I got to watch a cinder worm orgie last night in a back river bowl that is also stuffed with herring Didn't have long with the Bruins game about to start so I will be back there tonight. I hope the bass found them as well.

New Moon=Cinder Worm hatch. This is SOOO early I cannot believe it. My logs shows the earliest worm hatch in RI to be around 5/10-15.
Got to be the warm winter/weather we are having.

No boat, back in the suds.

A good run is better than a bad stand!

Crazy survival instincts....when you pick them up they would release white STUFF everywhere. Went out in the boat today and can't believe the amount of bait in the bay.

pogie. I was actually getting them wrapped by the gills on my line while throwing eels last night. tons of pogie. The herring are stacking up as well. I saw bait ranging from 2"-11" (multiple schools). Just waiting for the big ones to find them.

You have 2 maybe 3 weeks before the big girls show.

Team Sanchez has been crushing fish in the 24" range every night with his teammates, so it won't be long.

No boat, back in the suds.

I was out at the flip of the tide this AM. brutal conditions. Tide turned and, as usual, the wind came up 20kts N-NW. EG Bay was a froth with the wind and the wake from 200 quahoggers all digging in the same area. Running East tomorrow.

No boat, back in the suds.
