Yup, but some companies have actually figured out that in the long run it was costing them more money, and more customer dissatisfaction and have moved ops back to the US.

Ebay has new seller rules which I did not know about till now. Because I haven't sold anything in a few years I am treated as a new seller, even though I continue to actively use Ebay for purchases. So the buyers money is held in escrow till I ship the items and the buyer receives them or I provide a tracking number. I was told it is to make the buyer more comfortable. The buyers saw I have excellent feedback on past sales, and on recent and past purchases, so they obviously felt comfortable enough to buy from me. I told Ebay I understand if you have had problems with a certain seller in the past then that is how they should be dealt with, but I have never had any issues. I think I am done with them..

Right, but now I don't get my coin till 3 days after they receive the item.

TOTAL BULL#^&#^&#^&#^&!

Allows room for buyers remorse, and lets them make up a reason for cancelling the transaction..

Beware of shipping USPS with eBay. It's a buyers market... eBay will side with them in the case of a dispute. Sellers can't even leave negative feedback anymore. Anything I ever sell is either fedexed or sent USPS with SIGNATURE confirmation, and insurance depending on the value of the item. Just not worth the risk...

And they still have to pay before you ship... As long as you ship ASAP with the mentioned confirmation they shouldn't be able to just cancel the transaction, even if it's held in escrow. If so, the only thing you can do is open a dispute. It'll put the buyers paypal account on hiatus for a few weeks, at least.

As a consumer, I absolutely HATE "signature required" packages....I got better things to do with my time than wait for delivery people so I can sign. Even less after 3 attempts, you have to run to some mail sort place to pick up in person or risk having the parcel sent back.

BTW: the delivery person leaving a signature card one day, picking up signed card and delivery the next day is no security that the package was actually delivered but you get your signature!

If you print a receipt from your computer and bring it down to the post office to get your insurance money for a lost package - good luck to ya.
The clerk looked incredulously at it and said, "What's this?" They wanted a back copy from a duplicate tear sheet. Like a thermal receipt from a commercial receipt printer - like something from Land's End or Sears.
They told me I could have easily altered my copy of the receipt and would not pay.
Yes, they are pissed off about the closings, and having to work harder, and they are taking it out on the packages.

Yeah... I hear ya... But IMO it's not worth the risk as a seller to go without it. If I lose a couple prospective buyers, so be it.

Unfortunately it seems like fedex or UPS is the way to go. I'd like to support the USPS more, but I also don't want to be ripped off.

Depends on what you're shipping. I know with my tees, it's cheaper to have them lose it, make another and ship that - than it is to pay UPS or FedEx rates.
Paying 7+ dollars to ship something? That puts the kibosh on everything below $20.
Now shipping represents 35% of the price. It makes no sense for the consumer to buy it, unless it is really discounted, unavailable locally, or so far away gas is an issue.

delivery confirmation shows 1 package delivered yesterday and 1 package today. Package 1 guy already left positive feedback on the item and still no money. I spoke with EBAY and funds are not release til 3 days after delivery confirmation, this is bull#^&#^&#^&#^&, they are making interest on peoples money now, and we are paying sellers fees on top of it...

There is NO interest paid today! Have you looked at your savings accounts maybe 1-2%, and checking 0.1%!

Right but when you are holding millions of dollars you are getting more interest than that, and even at 1-2% it adds up at the end of the year..
2% on a million is 20,000 not chump change...

i had the same issue a few years back, I was livid. You have to front teh shipping money and send your item before receiving payment. I sold a guitar for @ $1500 and then paid $60 to ship. I had to wait for the shipment to be confirmed. Also - ebay and paypal took their cut right away! So I pay to sell and then Im the last one to get the $$$. Thats BS.

Corporations enjoy all the rights as individuals with respect to commerce. In the eyes of the the law, the corporate entity is a person.
Yet they have no remorse, they are completely self-serving, they have no value system or emotions. If a corporate entity were to to take a psych eval, they would be found to meet all the criteria of a sociopath.

There was another company that started up similar to paypal, only it was for people doing gun transactions. I heard of people waiting months for money, the FBI was investigating, and were saying the business was being operated like a pozi scheme. That is why it took so long for people to get their money.

I finally got mine. I had the buyers cancel the transactions, then I invoiced them directly from my paypal account, money showed up in minutes.

Oh yeah, I heard of them, SlayPal.
Their slogan was, "Guns don't steal money, people do."
