Tried to score big on the first day. Ended up only hitting a single at 13-15# fish. Got out at about 4:30am with big plans to fish until 6:00am when I have to start to get ready to work. Nothing up till my last cast at 5:55. When I connected. Felt pretty good in the current and took a nice first run. Was really surprised when I finally saw some color and got a good idea of the size. Oh well. Back she went. Anybody else give it a shot??
got three last night but biggest was only 26".
This was my first cast of the night and first striper of 2012
might as well have been 30 lbs cause man was I pumped. did i mention it was on my first cast of the night.
Went out at 4:30 am with westport mafia to a local herring run. Tide was a lil behind what the chart said....some bait around but no fish. SKUNKED..... Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device

There he stands, draped in more equipment than a telephone lineman, trying to outwit an organism with a brain no bigger than a breadcrumb, and getting licked in the process. ~Paul O'Neil, 1965
You'll have to talk to fishbones about that(his girls).I had NOTHING to do with that. LOL.... Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device
I'm going to have to blame that on Seamule. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device
Conservatism is not about leaving people behind. Conservatism is about empowering people to catch up, to give them tools at their disposal that make it possible for them to access all the hope, all the promise, all the opportunity that America offers. - Marco Rubio
Few keepers last night, but nothing worthy of weighing in.
Blame Westportmafia for the picture quality.
But repectable fish will be here REAL SOON!!
Can't wait to hear fishing reports after this weekends moon.
Tight lines fellas!!
BTW, the one I brought to the dinner table was stuffed with green crabs.
Nice fish man. I ended up dragging one live pogie and a big slimy sea serpant around a few more hours after you left but had no luck. The mullet came out in full force at slack tide. I think the tide had to have a 6' drop last night. That place emptied out.
