Finally

First keeper of the year..

I must have put in 50-75 hours for this fish (lost track). Just this Sunday I trolled 7miles around mid-bay with my kayak for nothing except 1 snagged menhaden.

29" on the tape never looked so good I knew it was a keeper as soon as I felt the weight on the popper. It was extra nice because I caught it from shore and right after 2 guys gave up at the same spot. I had been there plugging today since 5pm. Finally got the hit as soon as the sun hid behind the clouds at sunset.

On a side note.. Not a single thing in this fish's belly...
