wrapped up 20012 friday night..

Friday night was as good as it gets in October.. especialy north of Cape cod.. light wind, warm temps and lots of fish... no real monsters, 20lbs being the ceiling... but a fish of 8-10lbs on virtualy every cast until the tendonitis in my elbow refused to let me take another one... my hands look like hamburger.. but it was a great way to end a great season...my only regret was I fished it alone.. .. Night shift was following the lure of the woodlands.. he would have loved to be there.....The boat has to be off the dock the 15th... the weather forecast does not favor what I'd like to do.. and topping that night aint likely to happen this far north this late in the season.. I'm still rehabbing that MCL injury from last winter.. walking on rocks or long trecks in the sand are not viable... so I'm bidding fishing season 2012 a fond adue!

I have 1/3 of a 5 gallon keeper full of eels... I'll be releasing them tonight unless someone wants to come get them in Salisbury...

here's a few "high light " pictures from the season..

Ice fishing up next Joe...or are you going to try and grab up some Surf Fishing.

I'll grab up those eels from ya Joe....just let me know when you want me to come by. I'm still hoping for a couple more nights out from the surf and the yak

I like the BIG smile in the middle picture! Nice fish.

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

I would have joined you that night but I had a wake to go to and then pick up Danny at work, he got a job
So the bass are safe for about 7 months now

yes sir I did.. been a long time since i saw fishing that steady/dependable for an entire season... you would have loved it... after the first tripple on eels.. it was ALL plugs... I even threw that pikie you gave me last season.. ( it is now retired)
Brian and I got into a ton of fish there earlier in the week... I had a good feeling..
you'd be proud to know the biggest fish came on it... I ended up pinching the barbs on the plugs i used so i could release them eaiser..every time my head lamp hit the water or i hooked a fish...it looked like someone exploded a mine.. I haven't seen that many fish in one place all season..
Hope to put together a little plug work shop/B.S. session before plugfest...maybe you, paul and a few guy's from the north shore might be interested..

Joe, I do wish I was there friday night, but I owe it to my 13 year old beagle to be in Abbot Maine on the opening Saturday of upland season. We haven't missed an opener yet.

I really didn't think we could top our last trip and I wanted to end the season on a high note. 2012 was one of my top two or three seasons of all time for many reasons and it's many "firsts". It was an honor to share it with you and it ended much too soon. I'm glad you got in one more night.

A solo mission...

Bruce, these twins were sweet revenge the night after the "incident".
Just a two fish night, but I was the only one there.

Some really nice fish there guys. That picture was about how many eels you guys gave me. I am determined to get up there next year, it was a real treat last time.
