Thumbs up THE "PERFECT" BAIT

Well, not for fishin.... sorry

but for mouse catchin.....!!!

i set three traps in the basement KNOWING i had mice
and the cat although highly skilled can't get to all of them
because the crafty bastards travel on the I-Beam over-head
well out of reach of their steathly (advisary) predator....

the three traps set out with peanut butter all failed because
they just licked it off .... so, i had to devise something
better....more devious...more irresistable.... and then it
struck me like a BRICK
or a hammer handle to the balls-LOL

and i SLID a tough to open semi closed <<PISTACHIO nut>>

onto the curled over trip lever and it worked Flawlessly
as the detailed photo demonstrates.... as there is NO WAY
to get that nut off without setting off the trap....

and even a mouse likes to get his nuts off ((Laughin))

that's why there's so many off them heh heh

Don't you use the bacon for your bedbug and roach problem too?

We'll believe your count. I don't think we need a picture of every dead mouse!

I'm a D-Con guy. D-Con gets 'em all at once - more or less. No mice in the house, but my shed is (was) full of them. Little bastards made a nest in my ATV and chewed the wiring so bad it wouldn't even start. Its war now. My old pup - Captain Nemo, the one in my avatar - was a mouse-killing psychotronic machine. A bird could land on his head and he wouldnt care a bit, but if it was rodent - especially a squirrel - he transformed into a ravaging beast.

Good pics though. Cheap entertainment, the mouse-killing, huh?

I put a small pebble under the trap, and bait it with chunky peanutbutter. The pebble makes the trap unstable and makes a noticeable improvement in the catch rate. They've been hitting my RV pretty hard now that it's getting colder. Was catching 2-3 per night for over a week. Seem to be thinned out now.

Cant use decon Bcuz the cat likes eating their heads on occasion
must be the crunchyness of them....
They have been destroying my machines...getting into my
cars ....building nests inside the air cleaner even over night
so to find something that works well was important.

trap one-nothing
trap two -nothing
trap three -gone interesting

Talking

i'm telling ya....

i smeared a dab of peanut butter on the pistachio nut
for smell attractant and after they lick the nut clean
they want it real bad....

and trying to dislodge it ....as its stuck
(shell crack edge slid sideways inside the copper curl)
it's a deadly game that they loose.

i am up to number 7
