Temple Fork Outfitters Surf Rods
Hey guys, I'd like to hear your review on the TFO surf rods. I am considering about getting a light/medium 9-10ft surf rod in the range to throw rigged big and medium slugos, stickbaits, big senkos, bombers, 1.5-2 oz poppers, less than 2 oz tins, and 1.5 oz jigs and storm shads to get around the shore and canal for different situations and applications. I saw them at Red Top and Sportsman's Den and found a reel to match it up on my budget. I believe that it meets my budget and can use it if I am fishing areas like Boston harbor and other inshore spots.
Any pros and cons based on your experience and knowledge of TFO rods, especially the surf ones will be greatly appreciated, people.
Thanks!

Bought the 9' last year and I like it. The modern guide configuration allows varying size spinning reels to be used w/out looping issues. There's enough backbone to muscle fish in decent current yet enough play in the tip to work medium to large soft plastics with finesse. So far no complaints... Haven't put it through a whole season yet so, we'll see... I think they back it with a lifetime replacement... Hope this helps.

I just bought the 10'6" 2-8. I love it so far. Sweet spot seems to be around 3oz but throws lighter stuff like sp with no issues. Your more than welcome to try mine anytime.

The ten six models were well received by a couple of my friends at the canal. No problems reported. Cast well, very light in the hand.

Have had a 10'6" 2-8 for a year and love it. Throws SP's just fine and will handle jigging. Have a 550 on it with 40lb Slick. I use it more than my MoJo.
