Boat Rod Recommendations

Looking for some opinions on a spinning boat rod for mostly livelining, occasional casting, for stripers. It will be matched to a Penn SSV5500 with 40 lb braid on it. Price range is around $150. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

Can't go wrong with a cms custom or if your willing to spend a lil more the shimano terez is great really sensitive tip with plenty of backbone to stop 40+ pound fish, and very light.

I gave a tiger conv. Teamed with a Calcutta 700. It could stop a Mack truck.

CMS carries pre-built rods for right around your price point. I bought two 7-footers for my dad and brother this Christmas and they are great. Well built on rainshadow blanks. Stop in and see.

Going to call CMS today and see whats available in that price range, I'm pretty sure I'll find something. I have checked out the Tiger's before and they are a good rod for short money, I just find the grips a little big for my liking. Thanks to all who responded with input, I appreciate it!
