the new toy showed up today . it is very cool and I cant wait to put a bend in it. I cant thank Westport mafia, FiberStar composites and S-B.com enough. it's loud and obnoxious just like me.

New toy

I was expecting you bought a new excavator to dig up your driveway for the water leak.

A little history.. FSC originally sent a 1267 blank to be given. After Niko won he contacted me and said he might want to exchange it for a heavier rod for bait. No Problem!! He settled on a FSC Marauder 1269, one of the last ones made in Ruby red in fact! I was unable to do the build being it was total custom and I have no time for full blown customs anymore so I enlisted The King of Long Island Lou Caruso of Lou's Custom Rods. I can see he did a great job. Niko good luck with the rod and enjoy!!

i wish i could get a good picture of the ruby red, it is beautiful. when i sent the original blank back i was a little bummed to give up the ruby blank. i thought the new 1269 blank was either grey or black. when i opened the box i was pumped when i saw the ruby. thanks so much john. i couldn't be happier. now it's time to put it to work

I like the Ruby but only the Predator is that color now. The Marauder series is getting a new look color wise very soon.. but that is another story! The build details people are asking about are, Fuji DPSM reel seat with black hoods, Fuji SV Alconite guides done in a Modified Cone of flight layout. The handle is neoprene shrink with a 8" rear butt section and the fore grip of All Cork under. This gives it a bit of cushion instead of just shrink direct on the blank.

Next time we see that rod it will be in Paul's left hand as he's hoisting a Supah cow with his right hand!! Just wait and see!
