Last night conditions were perfect to fish one of my local RI haunts. We ended getting there a little early not looking so good, when everything lined up we were getting small fish, then I ended up running into Mike and Jay. Mike.ended up with a nice mid twenty lb fish to make us look silly with the 36 inch fish we have been catching, and also to show me fish eat eels, lol because they have been ignoring eels and eating darters and needles in this particular area recently.. then steve hooks up with this monster on the black needle.. keeps beating his PB at this rate he will be landing 50s like it's cool. That's 3 30s and a 40 this week. This fish could not be revived.after many efforts and had to be brought home, did the conversion chart and got a weight of 38lbs but after being gutted it weighed 40.3 lbs this morning. Congrats again, but if you keep out fishing me, next fish you reach down to land a fish...I'm going to have to give you a boot in the ass.lol

It's beginners luck. I was lucky enough to be fishing around 3 really good fisherman last night and just keep getting lucky. Like I was saying last night I feel really fortunate to fish the places I fish and that I have guys that are willing to share there knowledge with me. Hopefully I can come close to keeping the pace

nice fish.

1 @ 32 Pledge. Our beloved Striped Bass are in trouble AGAIN.

I fished through the lean years and don't want to live through another collapse of the stock.

2 fish @ 28" is ridiculous.

NICE!!!!!!

Hooray for you.

I love that using a needle you pulled that fish out from under the noses of guys throwing eels.

I love that you tried to release it even though it was the biggest you've taken.

Well done.

Congrats on a great fish
awesome you caught it with a plug, even better it was a needle

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

Nice catch and congrats

On another note, nothing beats out fishing redlite. Savor the moment.

It's not the bait

It's the fishing hole

Funny thing is he said good job kid and put on a needle fish. I was more surprised with that than the fish.

He owns needles. But he doesn't own hooks that they all need.

He was telling me earlier that you gave him a bunch about 15 years ago. He also said he wouldn't mind getting a few new ones.
