So that IRT 700 looks very interesting. I did a little research. $700 reel. Anodized aluminum. Anyone use one and put some stress on it?

No boat, back in the suds.

I love reel porn!

I have lots of favorites...my wife wants to know who "Stella" is.

Anyway my favorite reel is without a doubt the talica II 25 with a custom handle. about 1.5 seasons with it now. I have landed several real nice fish with it on the heavy terez and it is the best stand up rod I have ever fished with. Simply amazing. Light weight, incredible mechanical advantage and powerful drag. I have mine with 100/130 topshot but I am buying another one this winter and setting up both with 80/100topshot. It can whip a fish under 250# faster than anything I I have ever fished with and it is super comfortable to use.

IRT looks interesting. They have a schematic, but I can't find any info on weight (they list "5 lbs" !!!!! Probably shipping wt), line capacity, drag strength. Seems like they have smaller reels in the pipeline.

the ergonomic reel foot is pretty cool... they're pretty specific on the site about the care you need to take with the reel after every use though... doesnt look sealed... pretty reels!
