The opportunity to relocate to a warmer climate along with being able to explore what different areas have to offer is there for you.

There was a ton of PR poppycock in that news article. I wish they would interview the people.
They talk about placement and relocation, but the bottomline is, they are not making jobs anywhere else and you have close to 2000 people across the enterprise effected and they to want whats available.
I have received a lot of kind words from friends and many offering to help. For that i am grateful, i see it almost as a blessing.
Keep an eye out for a merger with another telcom company by next year. The stock will sore as the will add 4.5 mill subscribers. This wilm take the top 4 and make it top 2.
Again i am very thankful for all that have text me, pm'd me etc. It will not be easy after close to a decade of service...

Any call centers close to KC?

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

Consolidation. Mergers and acquisitions--Brutal on the workers who get thrown under the big bus as it rolls past. Sorry.

They make it sound all warm and fuzzy about how they will "try" and save so many jobs, and yet THEY don't seem to be affected, THEY keep their jobs, and THEY still get their raises!!!
Company loyalty is a two-way street!
I am expected to be loyal to the company and I expect the company to be loyal to me, but in some cases (now more than usual) the company's loyalty is to themselves!
Chock it up to a life experience, move on the best way you can, and make sure you cash their check ASAP!!!!
Hopefully you can find something equal, if not better, in the very near future.

Robotics and the programing of Robots will be
the next hi tech industry coming out
because it's going to be about energy storage
and TESLA will have the Prototype stranglehold on
batteries fairly soon...
The Internet is heading to outer space with
isp's streaming their services down to earth
from orbiting cubes.... instead of over wires or cables or glass
IN order to take to the skies for personal transportation
using AUTO pilot driven technologies they had to create << IP6 >>
so they could designate an ip address for every cubic inch of space
that and MAG lev Trains will transform all of our transportation
systems....
Good LUCK Skip! Finding your Next adventure....

When I met Skippy and he said he worked for Cox, I didn't realize he meant the cable company.
