If Spring ever comes
I spent some time last night going through the tackle boxes. I spent some time pinching down some barbs and sharpening some hooks as well as some general arranging.
I generally fish salt water. I got to wonder if I was picking through and getting ready for my first cast of the year and if I was to catch a fish on that first cast and win a great prize, what would I throw out there.
It was a toss up between a shad and a slug-go.... Ended up thinking I would toss the slug-go.
If you were in the same boat (no pun intended) with a chance to win a great prize on your first cast of the season what would you throw.

Like in fly fishing, I'd probably catch myself on the back cast.....again!

Last week I saw a cluster of 30 robins working a 20 yard piece of ground that the snow melted from.
Seems like those buggers care not about the weather...nor the ground cover.
Lets get it goin!
