VMC makes 'em sticky

Got out this morning. Beautiful day, fish all over the place. Third cast, first fish on. Lost control of it and got my Gibbs pencil firmly lodged into my index finger with fish still attached. Thank God there was a fella there to cut it free. Tried pushing it out but that baby stings. Oh well. Sitting in the ER waiting to get it removed. Weak.

Live it

Been there. Sucks. I figure with the amount we fish it's bound to happen a couple times

I've had that happen a few time, one of those times landed me in the emergency room. Since then, I never travel without a pair of cutting pliers. Crushing the barbs helps, but is not 100 percent.
Hope you are ok

Next time go to an Urgent Care place instead of the emergency room.
I was in & out a few weeks ago.
Took the doctor more time 35-40 minutes trying to get the hook out of my finger than I spent waiting to be seen.
