		Still broken.....

The bills are in for my visit to the ER when I cut my ring finger in July.... Nine stitches totaled just over $3000.00. 2K just for the ER. Balance for physician and xray... That deductible thing is smoke and mirrors. The rates they charge are outrageous IMO. (But someone has to pay for the uninsured masses.....)

I thought I had this in Grumpy forum.....

2 years ago I paid 75 cash to the doctor for an ear check / cleaning . I forgot my referral . I went a month ago with my insurance referral . Insurance paid $ 300. Bill for my share $65.00
I get so I want to put the next person I see with a "Obama cares " bumper sticker in the hospital so they can reap the benefits .

Doctors charging patients less then insurance companies goes back before Obama was born.
The doctors and hospitals have contracts with the insurance companies so that the each service is set at fixed cost.
Hospitals would charge the insurance companies more if not for the contracts. Also their are doctors that would not accept patients without insurance.

First things first...moved to the grump zone...

I feel ya! I am having surgery in 2 days and all I can say is the bills associated with this have already started to make my head spin! I think I have pretty darn good insurance but I hate that since this Obama care crap I seem to be having to pay for a lot of things I never used to. Anyone else found this to be the case too? Even just the routine visits that never cost me a dime (other than my co pay of course). I get the doc bill and scratch my head and 3 days later the statement from my insurance co listing the services paid but I swear everytime there is always that one weird little item that's not covered. Usually between $20-$100 so I pay it but now I am left feeling like this is how they are making up the differences the new laws have made for them.

				the best healthcare

is not to get sick in the first place

this is what i feel is the most important

first of ALL| Doctors Rarely advise you to take more vitamins
except for vitamin D and calcium as their dependent on one another for absorption and your thyroid gland is your body's metabolism manager so you need it to be working and have sufficient vit. D

other than that you get lip service and pill subscriptions that mask the symptoms primarily... like the old joke where you say Doc: every time i lift my arm it hurts... and he says : don't lift your arm then.

i firmly believe in REISHE mushroom as very important to your health
shi take and miake (sp) prevent cancer so the heck with all others

zinc to think .... beano if you eat beans or gasx for gassy foods
there's a 30 foot hose in your belly that's prone to kinks
pro biotics to keep your immune system working strong

take ginko biloba if your forgetful and you'll be sharp as a tack

when taking vitamin A , you need both types vegetable sources
and meat sources as they compliment one another making each work better than when taken alone.... think squash plus meat

your body: eyes -skin- hair - is practically made of vitamin A
but your SKIN is your biggest eliminatory organ because it has the most surface area of all... so pay attention to it....

like when you have an alergic reaction like hives ....that's your body telling you via your skin Danger will robinson poison alert!

after age forty, you stop manufacturing certain substances
that are for joint lubrication such as hyaluronic acid so that's when you need it in supplement form. Ginko Biloba helps oxygen get to your brain because your no longer running around hyperventilating
like you were when you were younger.

ehcinacea herb helps to boost your immune system when sick!
studied extensively in Germany, but dismissed as herbal quackery in the states because the the FDA has silver lined pockets and then some

Puritan pride has the best deals bog3 (by one get 3)

		good stuff raven .
I have suffered from insomnia for a good while now and have been on meds for it. the ambien stopped working and I was up for 4 days straight ( couldn't make striper meeting)...felt like a zombie. I've used lunesta before when the ambien stopped working. yesterday my dr called in script for lunesta and my ins co uh denied it due to the cost (300)and recommended low cost alternatives that haven't worked in the past. px said my dr had to appeal denial. I called them and told them my next stop was er and my dr talked about sleep studys and mri and my deductible was paid- they approved lunesta on the spot and called my px. corksuckers I tell ya.

SLEEP DEPRIVATION IS A PET PEV OF MINE
SRY CAPS

you have to take melatonin
your body manufactures it but in
insufficient quantities

where the Indian culture paints the red dot
on their fore head

deep within your brain smack dab in the center
is the pituitary gland
it records daylight just like an outdoor security light

things that mess with sleep are chocolate
eating too late your heaviest meal of the day
caffiene naturally from way to much coffee
and even watching crazy TV makes your brain
try to analyze it to make sense of the non nonsensical stuff

best to read until your head is nodding then go straight to bed
confident that the second your head hits the pillow

it's the one thing that disrupts sleep

		insomnia has struct ...

if i was far enough in the country
i'd blast those friggan frogs to smithereens-lol

rib rib ribbit rib rib ribbit drivin me crazy

time to read a bit....

your nerve bundle is like a piece of Romex wire (analogy)
the outer white layer is your lecithin coating
the inner wires red green black are your nerves
and they have a coating called myalin
call it "nerve insulation" that keeps them from shorting out one another
myalin is only replenished during deep sleep or good sleep
and at the end of a day when you feel frazzled ....what it truly means is that you've worn away your myalin sheath
taking supplemental lecithin helps protect your myalin layer for LONGER ....
it takes several hours to get into REM sleep-> and thats
the TIME where substances get replenished like Mayalin
by the brain... STEVE ROACH has some heady music
that will relax you like hypnotherapy does -check him out
google "eye of the noche" on you tube
