Modern Country (pop?)

I am at work and the individual working near me has a radio on and it is set to a local country station. This stuff really is Cliché every song is literally about drinking, a woman done wrong or how a man is so lucky and appreciates what he has.

Truly the LCD of the music world. I am not generally judgementa but this is horrible

with VERY FEW exceptions- new country sux. I like older country. strait, haggard, any of the hanks, waylon, ..... I think I have a thing for Jennifer nettles- that girl can sing and ain't bad lookin' either.

You want some old style country from new blood check out Sturgill Simpson. He's the biggest buzz in country right now. I'll be seeing him live in Nashville at the end of October.
