GoPro Hero 4?

I have a GoPro Hero 3. LOVE IT!

Still reviewing the specs, but the LCD screen on the Hero 4 looks pretty cool!

Worth upgrading?

They go on sale October 5. I will be getting one. Bought the stock in mid August. Still holding. Could be the big Christmas item of the year.

Me either. But given the stock's performance, it's paid for. And then some.

If i didnt get a 3 last year i would get the 4. The LCD screen is pretty awesome. I bought mine last year when i dumped out my change jar.

Everything is better on the rocks.

I have the same issues as you. Both with the Gopro studio and the freeze up. I dont think the freeze up is the battery. I have the stock battery and a couple of others and it seems to happen on either brand.

For a cheap option look at the vivatar version, it's $50-99 bucks for the package, waterproof.

For the price of one go pro I picked up 3 and all hardware and wiring for rigging up my boat for cast to catch videos for freshwater

I forget the actual model but my buddies have been running them for two seasons without issues and the quality is great.

I could see you planned on doing DVDs or actual movies with the go pro but the vivatars are great for YouTube and Internet videos and the hd quality is nice

just checked it out, impressive - Jim Cramer says to take your profits on it now though! All the good news is priced in already he says...

If you believe the sales will be strong you could make a killing though... gotta love the risk/return balance!

I am on the fence on upgrading. If I do, I'll go with the model that will be "backwards" compatible with my Hero 3 in terms of video speed/resolution.

Good stock but you needed to be on it more than 2 years ago! These things have been hot for 5 years at least! I have 4 of them and am looking at the new 4 specs!

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

JVC Adixxion!! $299, Waterproof without a case, uses standard camera mounts, has a screen and easy to use buttons and menu. WiFi sync. w/ phone gives you total control of the camera and in my opinion the video is better.

Check out the new Water Wolf camera, these attach above your lure, are castable and give a direct view of the attack. Very slick.

Nice video. Wonder how long before Youtube & other video sites add 4K playback. Also people need monitors of 4K resolution?
