Nova Chucks

Alright, stupid noob question. Nova chucks, do they come in different sizes and if so, what would the most common size be for the beginner turner guy(me)? I know, you're gonna ask what are you going to be using it for....The thing is, I'm so new, I'm not entirely sure yet, but it does seem like a lot of people have them, or something like them, so I'm trying to decide if I want one. Thanks as always

I have a full size lathe, would it still work?

what is the mount on the drive side of the lathe... Most lathes are 1 " diameter 8 tpi (8 threads per inch) Only large bowl lathes usually have 1.25" diameter

Check the diameter on your lathe

The best solution is to go ahead and do your wood working. Plug building whatever else you may like. At some point the "need" for this type of chuck may pop up. It is then that you buy it. Right now the "want" does not justify it.
