Coxes

Ended up taking a last minute day off from work, and had a pretty nice day on the water today.

Started on East Ground, picked some decent BSB, tons of dogs. Schools of Albies popping up all over the place which were very distracting, but would not bite.

Moved out to Coxes, steady pick of nicer BSB with dogs again. Switched to the jig/teaser rig to avoid the dogs, and a had few cod mixed in. Got my PB cod, a 12lber, which is pretty nice for RI standards. Also landed a giant 2lb+ choggie, which was a first for me, and a HUGE squid hit my 12oz jig I was using when the current was ripping.

6 species for me, BSB/Cod/Scup/Dog/Choggie/Squid. GORGEOUS weather. Sore arms...

i bent my wookie

Nice. We're hoping to sneak one in out there, but beat on the blackfish instead on Saturday. Lots of dogs in the water we were blackfishing as well. Probably at least 1:1, which is a long day when one side of that ratio is 35 blackfish....
I hope you ate the choggie
