Price for installing cedar shakes?

I'm going to be putting new cedar shakes on my house. I'll takes off the old cedar and wrapping it myself. Anyone have an estimate off how much it will cost per square to install?

Thanks

There are a couple variables, Paul. What is the exposure of the courses? 4"? 6"? Less exposure increases labor cost as well as materials. What type of shakes/shingles? White, red, primed? Corner boards or weaved corners? I have not priced install only, but I can tell you that to rip and replace primed at 6" exposure would run 1000 to 1200 per 100 square feet. Cedar and stainless fasteners have seen some hefty price run ups.

Dormers? I hate dormer sidewalls.....

Ross, I think I'm going with 5". Probably will be mailbec 2 coat stained white cedar and will have Azek cornerboard. Yes🙈 dormers. 2 small ones. I think the price was like 380 per square.
Thanks

380 for labor, plus materials? Maibecs are good choice. At 5" I think it is 2 3/4 boxes per square.

The guy who is doing work on the rest of the house (roof, portico, overhangs) wants $375 per square labor. The price for the shakes was a little under $380 per square w/2 coats of stain.

Thank you both.
