Bonding/ground plates

What, if anything, do you guys use to prevent marine growth on your bonding/ground plates?

A good scrub brush on a wooden handle if growth starts.
Not like it's out of reach being less that a foot below the water line on the transom.

Mine are mounted on the deepest part of the hull, no way to reach them without going in the water.

Seriously? Does the axle grease conduct electricity?
