Back to the basics... Quabbin

Probably been nearly 20 years since I have fished Quabbin and I had forgotten (or never really appreciated) what a great resource it is. Had such a great day on the water. My feet are way less awkward fishing from shore than boat but I do enjoy boat fishing from time to time. For a person that doesn't dare own a boat, $40 boat/motor rental per day is a deal that cant be beat (yea I know, rental motors, 'nuff said"...but I still think its a deal) great fresh water action, great wildlife scenery and all around peaceful relaxing day. Gate 43...you wont regret it. If you do, maybe you need to re-evaluate the value of a peaceful day on the water.

I could not agree more. I grew up in the pioneer valley and have had some great times at the quabbin
