Fort Adams ramp

I see a ramp there from outer space

http://maps.apple.com/?lsp=7618&q=41...703,-71.336938

Try this

http://maps.apple.com/?lsp=7618&q=41...703,-71.336938

Looks like only a few parking spaces and no dock,,,, thinking it might be a good alternative to a Westport launch to fish down that way (less fuel ! )
Appreciate Intel on the ramp, Gup

What Clammer said. Newport traffic SUCKS. And the roads are a mess... Makes you wonder where all of the money that town makes from Peking tickets, fines and taxes goes...but that's for another thread.

It's too boring at the ramp on the base. There are no no crazy side currents, no jack asses horsing their way in front of you, no yelling or screaming, and very rarely you have to wait on anyone. Much too boring. The Melville ramp is much more exciting.

I keep mine in a slip near the ramp on base, so it's even more boring for me......

the ramp at Carnegie abbey is awesome. Plenty of parking and its the Ritz of boat ramps. Fort Adams is a nice ramp but can be a nightmare. NEBE is right with roads. going down Bellevue or thames with a boat is not fun. I did it for a long time.

Yes, the Ritz of ramps, u put me on to it last year, next time I'm dressing smart and casual LOL , thanks
Was looking for a shorter steam to "outside?

I'm beginning to think a WTP launch is just as good plus some great scenery on the way. Got the grand tour from Rob, thanks again
