Tattoo heat question
On the control boxes above the furnace, what position, to allow water flow, are the little arm that stivks out suppose to be? Furnace cleaned the other day, and with thr cold this morninh I turned up the heat and none came. I k ow the furnace is heating the hot eater tank, but is not sending heat. Those control box arms are in the up position. Should they be all the way down? Or is there a start button I need to push?

Frank, it sounds like you're referring to the zone valves. Those arms should be in the down position. In the up position, they will allow flow all the time. Generally the zone valves are used in conjunction with a shut off valve with a hose connector after it on the return just before going back to the circulate valve . Chances are the tech left the shut offs closed and the zone valves open after he bled the air out of your system. Water will not flow through the zones with this condition. Put those arms in the down position and open the shut offs.
That's all I've got to offer without seeing it.

The hockey stick should swing towards the 3/4" pipe and free flowing/ swing when called for, once the bees wax get hot enough.don't force it open.
If you call a zone and that zone doesn't open the head is bad,you can p/u one at homes for about 80-90 bucks,if you change it out turn the power off to your boiler,so you don't short out your transformer.
Best O luck.

When the lever is down it's in the manual position and only in use when the power goes out so you have gravity heat, When in the up position is normal use
The other reason it goes in the down position is when your purging a zone of air
You may want to look for a switch going to your relay it could have been turned off some how
